SYLVA ry is a Finnish organization that brings together families of children with cancer as well as health care professionals. It operates nationwide, and has about 1,700 members in different parts of Finland.
Sylva was founded in 1982 by the parents of cancer children, to help children with cancer as well as their families.

Sylva arranges get-togethers, courses and peer support for children and teenagers with cancer and their families. We also organize holidays enabling families to rest and gather strength.
Provision of information and influencing decision-making are key features in Sylva's activities.
